Update 0.3.2.0
I'm pleased to announce that I have just released the 0.3.2.0 patch for people to download. This one was fun as I learned a lot during the development. I wound up completely reworking the code that allows the game to check what version you are running against the latest version that is available. Before this update the game was downloading the file and parsing through it to figure out what the version code was. For more info on that you can read my previous devlog here. It was causing a few issues the way I wrote it and I ended up having to push a hotfix (patch 0.3.1.7) after a few hours to fix the issues. After having a long discussion with a fellow programmer we came up with a much more elegant solution that is faster and less CPU intensive. The second part really isn't a huge issue as Ovivore itself is not very intensive.
The second major part of this update is some back-end fixes that reworked how the game handles different languages. Through the use of external localization files I was able to cut around 1000 lines of code to around 120. This change will also allow easier access to the files as well as external access to make quick fixes as needed.
Finally the most obvious change that has been made with this patch is that the entirety of Ovivore is now translated into German. The other languages are in the works and parts of the game are translated. However the resource I'm using isn't comprehensive so many parts of the game are still in English.
